California MUTCD 2010

This is the current and official manual in California as of January 21, 2010. It is effective as of that date and supercedes the 2006 edition.

The Manual is 1288 pages, over 400 of them in color. It contains all of elements of traffic control devices, some parts of which are also published separately.

As of January 21, 2010, Caltrans has revised the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices 2010 (California MUTCD 2010), to include FHWAs 2003 MUTCD Revision 2 (December 21, 2007) to prescribe uniform standards and specifications for all official traffic control devices in California.

The California MUTCD 2010 includes:

--FHWAs MUTCD 2003 Revision 1 (11/20/2004)
--FHWA's MUTCD 2003 Revision 2 (12/21/07)
-- All TCD policies issued by Caltrans since 9/26/06 and other editorial, errata and format changes.

The California MUTCD 2010 supersedes and replaces:

--California MUTCD 2006 (9/26/06)
--National MUTCD 2003
--MUTCD 2003 California Supplement (5/20/04)
--Traffic Manual 1996
